TRAVEL ITINERARY

The northern circumnavigation is the most impressive and scenically beautiful ascent of Kilimanjaro. This is the only route that circumnavigates Kilimanjaro from the north and crosses almost the entire mountain before reaching the summit. The route follows the Lemosho route at the beginning and approaches Kilimanjaro from the west. However, instead of approaching the mountain from the west and following the southern rim like all other routes, the northern route crosses the mountain on the quiet and rarely travelled northern side.
